Qaidi Band trailer: Aadar Jain and Anya Singh make promising turns

Mumbai: Though the launch of the two newcomers in Habib Faisal's 'Qaidi Band' had raised a lot of furore over its blatant endorsement of nepotism, Aadar Jain, Raj Kapoor's grandson, still has a lot of goodwill riding on him.

And with the release of the film's first trailer, the newbie is showing glimpses of the prodigal potential that has been seen across his legacy.

The trailer hints at the tale of a few wrongfully booked people, who're under trial, and try to wring themself out of their misery. The quirk is, they also start a music band of their own, which finds itself in the midst of a political agenda.

Though the colour correction might prove a tad again, Aadar and co-debutante Anya Singh seem to be all willing to sink their teeth into their roles. Though Aadar might remind one of a very goofy Varun Dhawan, he has a certain endearing quality to him, that might work in his favour in the longer run.

An Amit Trivedi musical, 'Qaidi Band' is slated for an August 25 release.
