'I really have been a huge fan of her': Akshay Kumar on reuniting with Katrina Kaif

Akshay Kumar’s affinity to martial arts is a well known aspect of his life. The actor swears by martial arts, and has actively participated and spoken about many of its forms. And he has been promoting a sport called Kudo for a while now.

Turns out, when he wanted another celebrity face along with him to promote his martial arts tournament, he called up his old co-star Katrina Kaif after a really long time. “She had just returned from the US after a strenuous trip, but it didn’t take her even a second to say yes when I asked her to come for the event,” smiles Akshay.

“I really have been a huge fan of her, because when she entered the Hindi film industry to be a heroine, she didn’t know a single word of Hindi not one. But now, she’s one of the biggest superstars of our movie industry. This is completely due to her hard work and dedication,” he adds.

There have been rumours that the duo, one of the most loved pairs in Bollywood, will be back together for a film. They’ve worked in movies like Humko Deewana Kar Gaye, Blue, Welcome, Namastey London and Singh is Kingg in the past, to name just a few. Add to it the fact that Katrina now only wants to work with superstars, given her disastrous string of films with the younger lot, and it may not be long before we do see them together again.
