Rishi and Randhir Kapoor slap fans and cameramen during Ganpati Visarjan

Mumbai: The fan maketh the star, they said, but the star seems to be belligerently apathetic.

Rishi Kapoor and Randhir Kapoor reportedly manhandled the scores of fans who had assembled at the ‘Visarjan’ procession of the RK Studio Ganpati. The procession that commenced at around 1:30 in the afternoon on Thursday, had Randhir Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Rajiv Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor walk for a good four kilometres.

The long procession saw a lot many fans break barricades and cause a ruckus to catch a glimpse of the stars. Torrential rains and multiple Ganpati processions didn’t help the cause, either.

When a very excited and blissfully oblivious Ranbir started playing the cymbals, the crowd and the shutterbugs went hysterical, leading to a furious Rishi Kapoor manhandling multiple cameraman and fans.

Randhir Kapoor also lost his cool, shoving away an over-eager fan with obvious hostility. Rishi Kapoor also apparently misbehaved with a senior cameraman. The actions of the actors have led to widespread outrage.

Rishi, who's quite infamous for being unsolicitedly snarky on the internet, also has courted controversy by indulging in brawls with fans and mediamen, previously.
