Syed Ahmad Afzal's first iPhone short film YOU and I hits international festivals

Mumbai: Syed Ahmad Afzal's 'YOU and I', starring Tara Alisha Berry is the first Indian short film to be professionally filmed on an iPhone using only day light. It will begin its journey in the International festival circuit from the first first week of January 2018.

Apart from being shot on an iPhone 'YOU and I' also boasts of an experimental yet very interesting take on separation and union in love. According to Afzal it is just few days before iPhone filmmaking storms the film scene and equips the budding filmmakers to realize their dream.

Afzal spent a whole year practicing filmmaking on his iPhone and finally he was confident to give a try out with this short film and is very happy with the result. He gave away his set of expensive lenses and DSLR to a friend and himself bought the entire iPhone filmmaking set-up including 3 lenses.

Afzal recently left for Kashmir on a writing sojourn which also will be a pre-recce visit for a feature length which is set in Srinagar. He plans to complete the screenplay in this trip to Kashmir and then return to the valley to shoot the film in the later part of 2018. Afzal is in talks with few actors currently but does not want to reveal anything till they are locked. It will be primarily a festival film to be shot completely on iPhone in Kashmir.
