Anushka Shetty on the verge of losing Saaho owing to weight worries?
Mumbai: After the sizzling chemistry we witnessed between Anushka Shetty (as Devasena) and Prabhas (as Baahubali) in both the parts of Baahubali franchise, we were eagerly waiting for the lead pair to charm us all over again with Sujeeth’s ‘Saaho’.
But alas! Seems like this dream will never materialise into a reality. The reason being Anushka’s weight.

According to a Bollywood Life report, the actress has been prepping real hard for the film and was undergoing drastic physical transformation for the part. As opposed to her role as Devasena in Baahubali, Anushka was to play a very posh, chic character in ‘Saaho’ and as part of her preparation, she completely ignored socializing to hide her look from the world. She even skipped the popular South awards show SIIMA to keep the look away from media.
Although she is doing her bit, the actress seems to have lost the project owing to major weight issues. A source told Bollywood Life, “Anushka was training hard for her role in Saaho. However, her weight has become a bone of contention. She is still about five to eight kilo over weight. And this might cost her the film itself.”
The makers of ‘Saaho’ have also approached many Bollywood actresses to play the part—from Katrina Kaif to Shraddha Kapoor. While Kats said ‘no’ to the project as she was not acquainted with Prabhas (until Baahubali happened, of course), Shraddha asked for a huge pay cheque to star in it. When all the options were exhausted, Anusha Shetty was roped in.

The actress, who put on a lot of weight for her film ‘Size Zero’, will lose out on this big project if she doesn’t do anything about her body fats.
During the shooting of ‘Baahubali 2’, the actress’ shots involved computer graphics to make her look as lean as she was during the shoot of first part.
