Ranveer rejected film with Katrina to please Deepika? Here's the truth

The rumour mills have been abuzz about how Ranveer Singh decided to give the Baar Bar Dekho director Nitya Mehra’s new film co-starring Katrina Kaif a miss. The actor is currently shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Padmavati and has allocated unlimited dates till it’s completion, as he plays the central antagonist Allaudin Khilji’s role.

On the one hand, Ranveer has been trying to bring about a patch up between Katrina and his lady love Deepika Padukone. Hence, we wonder why he would reject a film opposite her. Interestingly, both Ranveer and Katrina bonded at a party at Zoya Akhtar’s house. Nitya, who assisted Farhan Akhtar in movies like Lakshya and Don is also very close to Zoya. Hence it was assumed that the Ranveer-Katrina meeting/party at Zoya’s place was to try and make this pairing happen.

And then came the news that Ranveer had rejected the film opposite Katrina to keep Deepika happy. Ranveer’s spokesperson, however, denied this. “There is no truth in this,” she says.

Well, does that mean that the offer never came or has he accepted the film? We will only have to wait and watch.
