A.R.Rahman launched the soundtrack of the upcoming biopic on Brazilian football legend Pele.

Music maestro A.R.Rahman, launched the soundtrack of the upcoming biopic on Brazilian football legend Pele,on Monday in Mumbai city. The Oscar winning composer, who has worked on a number of multicultural soundtracks over the past years, said it was ‘fun’ to delve deep into the Brazilian culture.

Rahman, who admitted he didn’t know Pele before working on the film, has collaborated with singer and lyric writer Anna Beatriz for the song ‘Ginga’. A.R.Rahman took to his social networking handle to present fans with the teaser of the song. He shared the video saying, “Excited and happy to present the Music of Pele.”

Anna went on to thank Rahman for the opportunity to work together and bringing out the Brazilian culture. She said, “Thank you so much A.R. Rahman for this amazing opportunity and experience. Thank you for bringing the best out of the Brazilian Culture on this sound track. Working with you is a blessing.”

As the film is one of the many sports biopics to release this year, A.R.Rahman was quizzed about the practicality of a Bollywood star, Salman Khan being selected as India’s face of the Rio Olympics. Rahman said, “I think he is a very popular face. Why not?”
