The Ring or Rehnuma? Imtiaz Ali clears the confusion surrounding his next's title

Mumbai: Imtiaz Ali is one of the most sought after Directors in Bollywood and rightly so. After all, he has changed the face of Bolly romance with path-breaking films like ‘Rockstar’ and ‘Jab We Met’. Now, Imtiaz is all set to impress the audience with a film that he claims does not have a title yet- ‘The Ring’ or ‘Rehnuma’ is not what he is going to call this love tale.

Contrary to reports, the good-looking filmmaker confirms in an interview with Indian Express that his upcoming film is not titled ‘The Ring’ or ‘Rehnuma’.

“It is neither. At least that I can say. It cannot be either of the two,” said Imtiaz.

Talking about his love for theatre, Imtiaz, a self-proclaimed theatre person at heart, assured that he is going to direct a play as it is a ‘no non-sense’ platform and has very little room for ‘gimmicks’. The ace Director also revealed his desire to bring together Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone for a play.

“I will definitely do something. I don’t know when that will happen, though. It might happen a few years later or maybe 20 years later,” said Imtiaz matter-of-factly.

The film in question is slated to release on August 11. The first look of the film was released by superstar Salman Khan and has received positive response by one and all.
