4,719 Candidates To Appear for Departmental Exams in Vizag

Visakhapatnam: The computer-based departmental examinations conducted by the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) will commence on December 27 providing employment opportunities to 4,719 employees.

In a press meet, district revenue officer K. Mohan stressed the need for meticulous arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of examinations. He met with chief superintendents from various sectors, including police, electricity, and medical departments, alongside examination centre authorities and liaison officers.

The examinations are scheduled to be conducted from December 27 to January 3 (excluding December 31 and January 1), with additional tests for government polytechnic college lecturers slated for January 4. To ensure smooth conduct of exams, candidates have been reminded to carry their hall tickets and valid original ID proof. Strict regulations regarding electronic devices within examination centres have been put in place, with prohibitions on mobile phones, calculators, iPads, Bluetooth, or any other devices capable of intranet programming.

Examinations will follow a structured schedule, with objective pattern tests set from 10 am to 12 pm and afternoon sessions scheduled from 3 pm to 5 pm. Kumar also stressed the importance of punctuality, urging candidates to arrive at least one hour before their exam time, with gates closed thirty minutes before the scheduled start.

The meeting witnessed the active participation of officers from various departments, including GVMC, police, medical, EPDCL and revenue.
