Customer have to shell out Rs 30 as supply charges' to the delivery boys.

Bengaluru: Around a month ago state run oil firms had provided its customers the facility to make online payments while booking a domestic LPG cylinders Though the move has been welcomed by customers, they are upset that they have to shell out Rs 30 as ‘supply charges’ to the delivery boys, even though it has been included in the online payment.

According to Ms Vimala Bhat, a resident of Nagarabhavi, she recently ordered a domestic LPG cylinder online and made payment through her debit card.

“They had charged Rs 10 extra and I thought I need not keep any cash ready when the cylinder delivery guy comes. I had requested my house owner to keep the cylinder with him and instructed him not to pay any money.

"But the delivery demanded Rs 30 as delivery charges and even had a verbal duel with me over phone. Finally he refused to deliver my cylinder. I had to visit the LPG dealer personally and collect my cylinder and ended up paying '100 for auto,” she said.

“Even though the delivery boy is aware of this online payment, he is not ready to delivery the cylinders for free,” said Vijaya Prasad, another resident of Banashankari.
