Just 28,000 households away from reaching 100 per cent electrification: Modi govt

To date, 16,94,616 and 7,07,727 family units have been electrified in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, respectively.

The Saubhagya Scheme envisages giving final mile network and electrification to all remaining families in rural as well as urban regions to realise widespread household electrification.

The Saubhagya Scheme or Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojana may be a government venture to supply power to all families. The venture was reported in September 2017 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who said that the point was to total the jolt process by December 2018. On November 16, 2017, the government propelled website saubhagya.gov.in to spread data about the Scheme.
