Hyderabad: Amazon Great Indian Festival (GIF), will start from October 8, with 24-hour early access for Prime members. In a statement, Amazon said customers could enjoy never-before deals on the widest selection of products, together with great value and fast and reliable delivery.
Customers would get early access to more than 25,000 products till October 6 through KickStarter Deals, it said.
Manish Tiwary, vice-president and country manager, India consumer business, Amazon, said, “We are geared up to bring ‘boxes of happiness’ to our customers pan India and offer them a wide selection, unmatched value and convenience of shopping from anywhere, anytime along with an array of payment options and in language of their choice.”
The statement said that according to a recent study conducted by Nielsen Media and commissioned by Amazon India, 81 per cent customers indicated strong sentiment and intent to shop online, 78 per cent trusted online shopping and one in two intended to increase online spending, compared to last festive period.
The study conducted between August 9 and September 7 with a sample size of 8,159 across 35 cities found for 68 per cent of consumers, Amazon.in was their go-to and convenient online shopping destination, with almost half identifying Amazon.in as the most trusted and loved online brand for festive shopping and 75 per cent consumers find the widest range and selection of products and brands on Amazon.in.
