Amount to be deposited before September 15, failing which he will be sent back to Jail.

The Supreme court has asked Sahara chief Subrata Roy to deposit another Rs 300 crore to continue to stay on parole, as reported by IANS. The decision was made by the Supreme Court Chief Justice T.S. Thakur on August 3, 2016. Subrata was instructed to deposit the amount before September 15, 2016, failing which he will be sent back to the Tihar Jail.

The court had rejected the Sahara chief’s plea on selling Sahara’s property to raise sufficient money in order to return the deposits of the respective investors collected through OFCDs in 2008-2009.

The court has scheduled the next hearing in the Sahara case for September 16, 2016.
