New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Tuesday granted time to the Centre till Friday to respond to the proposal for audio and video recording of all court proceedings. At present there is no recording of the court proceedings.  A Bench of Justices A.K. Goel and Uday Lalit granted time to the Additional Solicitor General Pinky Anand, who submitted that the government had already taken steps and the financial outlay of the project was under preparation.

Justice Goel told the ASG that the government should not prolong matters and sought a report from the Centre in two days' time on the progress so far made.
