The Union home ministry is to have a meeting with top officials of both TS and AP to resolve issues related to the Reorganisation Act.

Hyderabad: The bifurcation of the state has affected Telangana government employees who avail of Leave Travel Concession (LTC) and Home Town allowance.

In the new state of TS there is no place to go with one's family by utilising the LTC. They can go on their own because there are only 150 to 200 kilometres wherever you go in Telangana, he said.

The Home Town allowance is also not worth availing of for native employees as their home towns are nearby.

It is not worth it for AP native employees working in Telangana either because the TS government will pay charges only up to the state's borders.  A native of Andhra working in Telangana said, "My native place is Vijayawada, if I go there with family the state government will pay the charges up to Kodada and the remaining charges I have to bear. To claim the charges is a headache so it is better to go on my own.”
