Ghajinikanth a family entertainer: Santhosh Jayakumar

Santhosh Jayakumar, who came into the limelight with his debut adult comedy film Hara Hara Maha Devaki, continues his stint in the same genre for his next titled Iruttu Arayil Murattu Kutthu, with horror adult content. Thankfully, he has changed tack and his third film Ghajinikanth is an action comedy drama, which has Arya and Sayeesha Saigal in the lead. “The movie is purely a family entertainer with loads of fun,” says Santhosh as he reveals the plot.
Arya essays Rajinikanth because his dad, played by ‘Aadukalam’ Naren, is a diehard fan of the matinee idol. Rajinikanth has good looks and is aggressive and witty, but he also has a memory disorder problem. How this absent-mindedness lands him in trouble forms the rest of the film. Why the title we ask, “It is a combo of the words Ghajini, a blockbuster film of Suriya where he portrayed a short-term memory loss patient and of course, as said earlier the latter half from Rajinikanth.” Comedians Karunakaran, Satish Motta Rajhendran are roped in for supporting roles besides Sampath. Balamurali Balu has scored the music.
