Book MLC for remarks on Nizamabad MP Kavitha: JAC

Police has sent the complaint for legal opinion.

Hyderabad: Telangana Advocates JAC on Friday lodged a complaint against BJP MLC N. Ramchander Rao, accusing him of making derogatory remarks against Nizamabad MP K. Kavitha.

The advocates, in their complaint to the police, alleged that Mr Rao on Tuesday said that all MNCs and software companies that have come to Hyderabad had done due to efforts of the Prime Minister and not by seeing Ms Kavitha.

“He used abusive language against the MP. Criticism is allowed in politics, but it should be limited to politics. It should not be on a personal level,” said K. Govardhan Reddy, a JAC member.

“By making such derogatory remarks against a women representative, the MLC has hurt the sentiments of the Telangana people,” the complaint said, requesting the police to take necessary action. Police has sent the complaint for legal opinion.
