Actors galore in Vikram’s song!

It was reported earlier that Vikram is directing the video song ‘Spirit of Chennai’ as a tribute to the volunteers who bravely fought the devastating flood that hit the city. The makers have already released a six-minute video showing several visuals of the flooded city, which says at the end that an official video would be out soon. The grapevine has it that many actors from the southern film industries would feature in it. Apart from Kollywood actors, the names of stars like Prabhas, Nivin Pauly, Puneet Rajkumar and others, from Tollywood, Mollywood and Sandalwood respectively have surfaced.
A source informs us that the shooting of the video commenced in the city on Sunday. “The shooting has officially kicked off in the Dakshina Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha at T. Nagar, and will be wrapped up by January 10. Actors Vijay Sethupathi, Bobby Simha and Nithya Menen joined the shoot on Sunday. Suriya and a few others might join the crew today. It’s true that actors from other industries will also be featured in the video. An official list of the stars will be announced in a couple of days,” said the source. Hansika Motwani is another actress who will be part of the video, and she has confirmed the same recently.
