SS Rajamouli opens up about directing Rajini

After his war epic Baahubali’s mammoth success, global attention is on SS Rajamouli. Apart from that, the film has made him one of the most wanted filmmakers of India. The Naan Ee director was recently interacting with a group of school students in Chennai. On a few earlier occasions, Rajamouli evinced interest in working with the Superstar of the south cinema. For a query from a student about when he would team up with Rajini, Rajamouli said that though he was not sure as what type of role would be offered to him, he would make sure that he sets a new record.

But he was sure about what kind of film he would helm, if he gets an opportunity to direct Rajini. He said, “You ask this question to any director in the South Indian film industry and their answer will be the same. I don’t know what kind of role I would offer Rajinikanth, but if at all I make a film with him, I will make sure that audiences are not able to hear the dialogues on screen for at least ten days after release. They should hear only screams and whistles.”

Reacting to a query if he would join hands with AR Rahman, he quipped, “I have heard Rahman sir starts working late in the night. I am not sure how it will work out with him since our respective work times are opposite in nature.”
