Cinematographer turned filmmaker Amal Neerad is noted for blending technical brilliance with the story narration, through his directorial venture. It has been reported that Amal, who bagged the state award for best cinematographer for his own directorial — Iyobinte Pusthakam last year, is now gearing up to call the shots for his next venture which has Dulquer Salman in the lead role.
Now the latest news is that Amal Neerad, who was also the cinematographer in his last two feature ventures, has assigned a newcomer to crank the camera for this yet to be titled film.
Confirming the news, he says, “Ranadaive, my former assistant will be the cinematographer in this film. He was there in the camera department of my all films from Big B itself. For my last two films, Iyob… and Bachelor Party, he was the operating camera man,” says Amal, adding that Ranadive has earlier wielded the camera for his film — Kullante Bharya, in the anthology film – 5 Sundarikal.
“As of now, we have not completed the casting and not zeroed in on any titles. We are working on all these and hopefully the shoot will start from the beginning of 2016,” says Amal, who is also the producer of the film, written by Shibin Francis.
