Police seized black colour Swift car used by Chintu at Bengaluru

Chittoor: Chittoor police arrested four persons on Monday in the murder case of Chittoor mayor and her husband on November 17. The accused allegedly arranged guns, bullets and vehicles to the main accused Chintu. The police also recovered 0.22 revolver, 16 bullets, 1 burkha and two cars allegedly used for the murder.

The accused identified as Rajanikanth, Narendrababu alias Pakodi of Chittoor, Srinivas Achari of Chintamani and Kamalakar of Bengaluru. While Rajanikanth serviced the gun of Chintu in the past and gave guns and bullets for the murder, Narendra Babu acted as middle man.

Srinivasa Achari gave 16 rounds of ammunition to Chintu at the instance of Narendra. Kamalakar had given shelter to Chintu after taking him in his vehicle even after knowing about the murders he committed.

Police also seized black colour Swift car used by Chintu at Bengaluru besides a burkha and a revolver. All the four have been sent to remand.
