Mob forces family out of theatre for refusing to stand during national anthem

Mumbai: A video clip showing a Muslim family being thrown out of a theatre for allegedly not standing up during the national anthem has gone viral in social media.

The video shows a family seated, engaged in a heated argument with a mob that had gathered around them, questioning as to why they could not stand up for the national anthem if they could sit and watch a movie for four hours.

Alternative reports have appeared with some claiming that the incident occurred during a screening of Tamasha in PVR Mumbai, while others claim that it took place at PVR Bengaluru.
