Goa CM Laxmikant Parsekhar gets a taste of traffic jam in Kochi

What turned out to be villain was the manually operated old iron railway level crossing at Vathuruthy

KOCHI: Goa Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekhar had a busy schedule on Sunday attending nearly 10 programmes across Kochi. However, he had a taste of traffic jam in the city just after attending a programme at Cheralayi in FortKochi where he described the two states having “close resemblance”.

What turned out to be villain was the manually operated old iron railway level crossing at Vathuruthy, the only such thing remaining in the state.

“The Chief Minister was on his way back from Fort Kochi to the city when the entourage got stuck at the Vathuruthy LC gate at 11.45 am. Finally after the gate was opened, his journey was further delayed with a trailer blocking vehicles,” police sources said.
