Hansika gets stuck in Chennai rains

Nature doesn’t spare any celebrities and Hansika is a recent example. On Monday evening, the actress arriving from Mumbai was stuck in a traffic jam in Chennai due to heavy downpour, while she was on her way to the hotel. Rather than waiting for the roads to clear, she decided to walk at the midnight hour to a hotel that was closest to her.

“I landed at Chennai airport at 8.30 pm on Monday. Even as I touched Chennai, it was pouring heavily. With the water levels outside rising upto the knee level, at one point, we were stuck and not able to move further,” Hansika begins.

She adds, “Initially, I thought the traffic would be cleared soon. I was whiling away the time with my phone. After half an hour, there was no sign of any movement. The car was stuck in such a way that it can’t move an inch in any direction. Then I decided to walk to the nearest hotel along with my four assistants.”

Wasn’t she scared since it was still raining and past midnight?

“Oh no, I was never scared. Luckily, I was wearing shoes and my legs were fully covered. I took my jacket, covered myself fully and took only my mobile phone, and started moving in knee-deep water. I saw many people walking along with me. Some even recognised me and were calling my name.”

It was around 1 am when the actress reached the hotel.
