‘Yuvraj’ turns star at fest

About 10 people work to maintain Yuvraj

Hyderabad: A buffalo bull from Haryana has become a star attraction at the Yadav festival ‘Sadar’ held in Hyderabad. Yuvraj, the bull, weighs 1,600 kg and is 6.5 feet tall. The bull’s proud owner, Karmvir Singh, feeds him daily 100 apples, 25 liters of milk, five kg each of three types of crops and pulses along with dry fruits.

The bull is given a massage two times daily with mustard oil. It is taken out for running everyday and four times in a month hair is removed from its body. About 10 people work to maintain Yuvraj.

Yuvraj was brought to Hyderabad by Edla Haribabu Yadav of the Yadav Mahasabha for the ‘Sadar’ festival celebrated by Yadavs.

Haribabu Yadav said, "I brought Yuvraj from Kurukshetra to Hyderabad by spending Rs 5 lakh on transportation, food and maintenance.” He will be the star attraction at the ‘Sadar.’
