The shooting for Suriya 24 has been completed, and we hear that the team will start post production after Diwali. For the past few days, the last leg of schedule was happening at Adityaram Studios.
“24... last day of shoot. Another close to heart project. Hope u all like it. Thanks to the entire cast n crew for all the hard work n fun (sic),” wrote Suriya on Twitter. Vikram K Kumar of Yavarum Nalam fame is directing the film and AR Rahman is scoring the music. Touted to be an action adventure film with a sci-fi backdrop, Samantha and Nithya Menen are the leading ladies in 24.
Suriya is in three different roles (possibly the father, son and the grandfather), but nothing has been confirmed yet. If this is true, Suriya will be playing a triple role for the first time in his career. Sources neither confirmed nor denied this information. Rumours are abuzz that the film is slated for a Pongal 2016 release.
The film, which was extensively shot in Mumbai, Nasik and Poland, is produced by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment. AR Rahman scores the music of the film, with cinematography by Kiran Deohans.
