Air India Express records Rs 140 crore profit in Q2, Q3

The revenue increased to Rs 1,546 crore during this period this year from last year’s Rs 1,406 crore.

KOCHI: Air India Express has posted an increase of Rs 140 crore in its revenue in the six-month period from April to September this year compared to the same period last year. The airline had posted a profit of around Rs 100 crore for the first time last year.

The revenue increased to Rs 1,546 crore during this period this year from last year’s Rs 1,406 crore. The number of passengers wen-t up from 13.4 lakh during this time last year to 14.5 lakh this year despite stiff competition from domestic and foreign carriers.

The AIE board of directors that met in the New Delhi on Thursday decided to increase the number of seats on each flight by three, this will mitigate the peak hour rush and make the airline more efficient to meet the competition and increase revenue.
