It takes less than two minutes to smile

The two-minute video, Punchirikku Parasparam, is a reminder on the importance of a smile in this busy world

Smile is a quality only possessed by mankind. But in today’s busy schedule where life is self-centred, we forget this God-gifted quality of ours. In these times of changing lifestyle, Ramesh Pisharody and Dharmajan Bolgatty, the super hit comic pair in Malayalam, have come up with a social welfare video Punchirikku Parasparam which reminds us to smile.

The two-minute mini film directed by Hari P. Nair and produced by Ramesh Pisharody which focuses on humanity through a smile will be released in social media on November 1, Kerala Piravi Day.

Apart from a guest appearance of legendary actor Mohanlal, the film will also see actors Renji Panicker, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Ramesh Pisharody, Pearle Maaney, Akshara Kishor, Asha Aravind, Anjali, Jennifer Antony and Sini Abraham.

Noted cinematographer Sreejith Vijayan cranks the camera for Punchirikku Parasparam, which has Rahul Raj as the music director. Music plays the prominent role in the film, which has no dialogues.

“Actors have done this film for free as it is for a social welfare cause. I am very happy that I got an opportunity to act in the film which aims for a social cause rather than earning profit,” says Dharmajan.

“Punchirikku Parasparam spreads a message of brotherhood and love towards mankind in the upcoming local body elections. The aim of the film is to bring together the candidates contesting the elections,” Pisharody said at a press conference on Thursday.

As a part of this, all the candidates of the Tripunithura statue ward — Sri Venugopal, Madhusudanan, Vijayakumar and Rajeevan — shook hands as a symbol of brotherhood.
