Video: MS Dhoni wins over Virat Kohli, Chennai fans

Chennai: Playing at his adopted home ground, MS Dhoni led India to a series-levlling win in the fourth ODI against South Africa here on Thursday. While the skipper could not contribute much with the bat, that did not stop him winning hearts of Chennai fans.

As the team was approaching dressing room following its 35-run win, Dhoni, uprooted a stump as a memory of the victory. What he did later was perhaps a great sign to squash all the rumours of friction between him and Virat Kohli.

Although India’s Test skipper could not take the field due to cramps following his 137-run knock, Dhoni made sure Kohli’s match-winning contribution gets appreciated and hence, handed over the stump to him.

Later, India’s World Cup winning skipper lauded Kohli’s effort with the bat saying, “Virat batted exceedingly well and assessed the conditions well."
