Fans create ruckus at Pawan Kalyan house

Three men, claiming to be fans, demanded a selfie with the actor

Hyderabad: Three men, claiming to be fans of Tollywood actor Pawan Kalyan, created a ruckus in front of the star's house at Banjara Hills on Tuesday night, demanding a selfie with the actor.

The trio, in an inebriated condition, had a scuffle with the security guards at the gate while trying to forcefully enter the compound. The security guard, who was at the gate, told the police that the miscreants wanted to click a photograph with the star.

“The three came to the gate at around 10.30. When they tried to enter the premises, the security guard stopped them. They told him that they were die hard fans of Pawan Kalyan and wanted to click a photo with him with their phones. The guard informed them that that Pawan Kalyan was out of station, but the trio refused to leave. Another security guard came to the spot and tried to disperse the trio. However, they created some ruckus, and later went off,” said Banjara Hills ACP D. Uday Kumar Reddy.

Police officials said that no one is injured and no damage had been done to the property. They are also investigating if the miscreants had intentions other than to meet the star and clicking selfies.

Sources said that Pawan Kalyan was currently in Gujarat, shooting for an upcoming film. The star reportedly called his friend, writer Kona Venkat, and asked to check the house and seek help from the police.

“We have booked a case for house trespass and criminal intimidation. We are searching for the perpetrators,” said the ACP.
