PM may announce some infrastructure projects along with a financial package
Hyderabad: The Centre is preparing a package for Andhra Pradesh which Prime Minister Narendra Modi will announce when he visits the state for the foundation laying ceremony for Amaravati on October 22.
He, however, is not expected to say anything about the special category status for the state. Niti Aayog has sent a circular to all Central departments asking about pending projects and new proposals related to AP. The PM had asked Niti Aayog to prepare a road map regarding implementation of the assurances given to AP in the Reorganisation Act. On the directions of Niti Aayog, Central government officials are now enquiring with departments of the state government about the pending issues and also about new proposals.
According to sources, the PM may announce some infrastructure projects along with a financial package.
