Hyderabad: Registering complaints about public services like taxis, autorickshaws and buses is now easy thanks to the new app ‘Hyderabad Traffic Live’, that was launched by the Hyderabad Traffic Police on Tuesday.
The app, launched by Hyderabad police commissioner M. Mahender Reddy, enables users to know the traffic condition in nearby areas and also calculates autorickshaw fares on any route in the city. The user-friendly app is available to Android users as of now.
In addition to the autorickshaw fare estimation and live traffic view, the app also enables one to lodge a complaint. It will be acknowledged immediately and an officer will attend to the complainant and resolve the issue.
“This will become the most popular app launched by the Hyderabad Police till date. It will serve as a bridge between cops and citizens and will help commuters on the road, other citizens and even the police to ensure discipline on roads,” said the commissioner during the launch.
App has info useful for citizens
The ‘Hyderabad Traffic Live’ app will help users locate the nearest police station and give contact details of the station house officer.
One can also know the status of e-challans and of towed vehicles. The ‘Find your towed vehicle’ option gives information of the vehicle and officer to be contacted.
The commissioner said that with technology providing solutions to every problem, it was becoming easier for cops to develop a good interface with citizens.
