Nikki Miller from East Yorks found the dead shark on Hornsea beach
A dog walker on British beach was shocked when she saw a washed up creature with a “formidable teeth”, which was later identified as a dead shark.
Nikki Miller from East Yorks found the dead shark on Hornsea beach while walking her pooch Boris, the New York Post reported.
Speaking about the moment she saw the shark, Nikki said: “It is a bit worrying because my children were swimming in the sea here just a couple of weeks ago.”
She said, “I don’t know how dangerous it is but the teeth look formidable.”
It is thought the fish is a Porbeagle shark which can grow up to 12 foot long. Shark expert Andrew McLeod said it was a rare find. The Assistant Curator at The Deep said: “It is quite unusual for them to wash up on the shores though.”
