Protest outside school to take back Class I kid

About 100 protesters led by former MP P.R. Natarajan laid siege to the Vidya Niketan matriculation school
COIMBATORE: About 100 protesters led by former MP P.R. Natarajan laid siege to the Vidya Niketan matriculation school on Wednesday, demanding that they readmit a Class I boy they had dismissed recently.
The Vidya Niketan school had sent out .the five-year-old boy Ajay, because his father, Jagadeeswaran allegedly opposed the excessive fee collected by the school management. For the last five months, the school management has not allowed the child inside the school. "We have petitioned the district collector several times, but our demand has fallen on deaf ears. As a final resort, we have staged protest in front of the school and laid siege,” said Govindaraj, member of the education protection committee. He claimed that the school had agreed to allow the child to study only for one year in the school, after which he would be given transfer certificate. When contacted Inspector of matriculation schools, Coimbatore district, Vanaja said, “I have asked the school management to take back the child and they have agreed to it”.
