No invite to CM for PM event, why?

The state government has decided to register a protest with the Union government
Bengaluru: Expressing displeasure over NASSCOM not extending an invitation to Karnataka Chief Minister Mr Siddaramaiah for the function attended by Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, the state government has decided to register a protest with the Union government.
Speaking to reporters after the Cabinet meeting here on Wednesday, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mr T B Jayachandra alleged that it was a deliberate move by the PMO to keep the Chief Minister in the dark over the programme.
“The German Chancellor visited Bengaluru due to the efforts made by the city to have the Bosch manufacturing facility here. The Chief Minister is a representative of the people here. To receive and see off the Prime Minister, the Chief Minister must be present as part of protocol. However, when it comes to some important functions like this, the government was kept in total darkness,'' Mr Jayachandra said.
Mr Jayachandra said that it was total breach of protocol and such incidents would do no good to the federal structure of the country.
