Navjot Singh Sidhu admitted to hospital after clot in deep vein

According to Apollo Hospital, his condition is stable as of now

Mumbai: Former India cricketer and television pundit Navjot Singh Sidhu was admitted to Indrapastha Apollo Hospital in Delhi on Tuesday evening with deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a condition where a clot is found in the deep vein.

According to a statement released by Apollo Hospital, “Mr Navjot Singh Sidhu was admitted to Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals Delhi today evening with acute deep vein thrombosis (DVT). This is a life threatening condition if not treated on time.”

DVT arises after clots create obstruction in the blood vessel hampering normal blood flow. “Mr Sidhu has been put on blood thinners and has been recovering well. His condition is said to be stable as of now,” the hospital said in its statement, in a report in the ‘Indian Express’.
