DK Ravi’s death a suicide: CBI’s final report in two days

Sources from CBI claimed that the final report was ready a week ago

Bengaluru: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) will submit a final report on D.K. Ravi’s unnatural death to the designated court in a couple of days – stating that IAS officer’s death was a case of suicide and the agency was not recommending for anyone’s prosecution for abetment in his suicide.

Sources from CBI claimed that the final report was ready a week ago, and the report has been submitted to the office in Delhi headquarters for approval which is required for it to be submitted to the CBI designated court.

The sources also added that the investigations into D.K. Ravi’s case have concluded and the case report will be filed under section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC).

However, R.K. Gaur, CBI Press Information Officer told this newspaper that the investigations into D.K. Ravi’s unnatural death was still underway and no report (as claimed by sections of media) was ready or submitted to the Delhi headquarters for approval.
