Actor Siddarth recovers, heads home today

Doctors at the hospital said it would take six months for him to be fully fit
Kochi: Actor-director Siddarth Bharathan, who has been undergoing treatment at the Medical Trust Hospital, Ernakulam, for the injuries he suffered in a car accident on September 12, will be discharged on Friday.
Doctors at the hospital said it would take six months for him to be fully fit. “Complete recovery is possible in his case,” they added. Siddarth is yet to fully recover from the fracture he suffered on his thighs and has the aid of walkers. He was critically hurt in the head with body and leg fractures in the accident at Thykkoodam near Tripunithura.
His mother KPAC Lalitha expressed relief over his fast recovery from the traumas. “Great godly luck,” Siddarth told reporters at the hospital.
After he was admitted to the hospital, neuro-surgeon Dr Sudheesh Karunakaran had told Lalitha that her son was out of danger. “Guruvayurappan was always with us. But for His grace, Siddarth’s life wouldn’t have been saved,” she said.
When doctors talked to him about his recovery, his first query was when he can get back to his projects. “He is a thorough professional,” exclaimed orthopaedic surgeon Dr Bipin Theruvil.
Lalitha said she was awakened from her sleep at the apartment at Tripunithura by two policemen on Saturday (September 12) night, who took her to the hospital.
The cinema fraternity stood with her in her hour of crisis, she said and named director Ranjith and actor Dileep in particular.
