Kochi: Panic gripped the Sree Dharma Paripalana Yogam School in Palluruthy on Wednesday morning after the police control room in Kochi received a telephone call that a bomb was placed in the school.
The bomb squad rushed to the spot and held a detailed check of the school premises and found nothing. The control room received the call around 9 in the morning. Police said the call was traced to a public booth in Pallurathy.
According to preliminary assessment the call might have been made by a mischievous student belonging to the school itself. Police however said that the mischief maker was not identified so far. Around 1,000 students are studying in school.
