CM gears up for Telangana bypolls

CM had deputed irrigation minister T. Harish Rao to oversee the Narayankhed Assembly byelections
Hyderabad: The TRS is gearing up to face a series of polls in the next six months, which could test Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
Going to the polls are the Warangal Lok Sabha constituency and the Narayankhed Assembly seat and 12 MLC seats from the local bodies quota. Apart from this, there are the pending bypoll to the Sanath-nagar Assembly seat, currently held by minister T. Srinivas Yadav who was elected on a TD ticket, and the GHMC elections.
While the government has the implementation of the Rs 1,000-pension, farm loan waiver, Mission Kakatiya and Water Grid to show, it is also faced with the spate of farmer suicides, backtracking on cheap liquor, delay in implementing the KG to PG and two bedroom housing sche-mes apart from pending irrigation projects.
Sources said the Chief Minister had deputed irrigation minister T. Harish Rao and Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy to oversee the Narayankhed Assembly byelections.
