Hyderabad: Two swine flu deaths were recorded in Gandhi Hospital on Thursday. The deceased were 49-year old D. Satyanarayan from Ananthapuram and 13-year-old Swathi from Neredmet.
This takes the number of swine flu deaths since August to five. Meanwhile the Institute of Preventive Medicine received 50 samples on Wednesday, of which 16 tested positive for swine flu, taking the total number to 102 cases.
Despite the temperatures being very high during the day, nights are chilly and the virus is able to survive the climate, said senior pulmonologist Dr K. Subhakar said.
