Laya, who had been a popular actress in the Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam industries, has denied rumours that she had been injured in an accident. She is currently settled in the US with her husband.
“I read reports in some print and web media that I had met with an accident, which is not true. Without verifying with me, they published the wrong news, which gave anxious moments to my parents who live far away,” said Laya.
She added that she had been getting calls from her close relatives after the news came out. “I am safe and I didn’t get hurt in any accident. The news is completely wrong and before publishing anything, please verify with me,” she appealed.
