New Delhi: The Congress on Sunday vowed to take the fight against the NDA government at the Centre to the states on issues related to the Land Bill.
Addressing a “Kisan Samman” rally at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan, Congress president Sonia Gandhi sought to further harden the party’s stand on the Land Bill by declaring that the fight was not yet finished.
She added that the “battlefield” had only shifted from Delhi to the states. The government had opted not to issue yet another ordinance on the land bill, after an amendment could not be passed in Parliament in the Monsoon Session.
Hailing farmers as “annadata” Mr Rahul Gandhi vowed to fight any attempt by the government to bring back its own version of the land law.
