Alappuzha: A woman pillion rider was killed after a KSRTC bus hit her scooter while overtaking here on Friday. Police identified the victim as Hafsa Beevi, 63, of Hafsa Manzil, Aryad South.
The incident took place near Thondankulangara Junction here. She was on her way to Alappuzha with her son.
She was run over by the bus while her son, who was riding the scooter, was left unhurt. Though she was rushed to the nearby hospital, she could not be saved. The body was handed over to relatives after post-mortem.
