Music director-turned-actor GV Prakash Kumar who made his acting debut with Darling is all set to join the sets of Bruce Lee. The shooting is scheduled to starting October. The film is to be directed by Prashanth Pandiraj and is touted as an action comedy and will see the young composer taking on baddies for the first time in his career. According to Prashanth, the film will be shot entirely in Chennai and will have comedy and action in equal parts. He says, “There is a reason why the film has been titled Bruce Lee.
The character played by GV Prakash in the film is nicknamed ‘Bruce Lee’. The story behind the name forms the crux of the plot. It will be a black comedy along lines of films like Jigarthanda. In fact, the movie runs on the novelty of its screenplay.” Though it was earlier rumoured that either Samantha or Nayanthara will be roped in as the female lead, Prashanth clarifies that the crew is yet to zero in on its leading lady. Meanwhile, Prakash’s rom-com Trisha Illena Nayanthara is slated to hit screens on September 17.
