Mumbai: Aamir Khan is almost ready to get into his full wrestler avatar as he begins shooting for ‘Dangal’. The actor will take on yet another challenging role as legendary wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat in the highly anticipated biopic directed by Nitesh Tiwari.
Aamir had to put on oodles of weight to get into character for the film. After following a strict die and exercise regimen, the actor now weighs 95 Kgs.
At an event Aamir revealed, “By December, we will finish the shooting, and in the next five months I will lose weight, and then have one more schedule in the month of June, where my character is young. When the film will come to an end, I will be back to the PK look.”
The team will begin shooting in this month in Ludhiana. Celebrity photographer Avinash Gowarikar recently tweeted the picture saying, "Shot #Dangal look test with @aamir_khan today. @niteshtiwari22 looks on.Something out of the box from Aamir again!"
The film will reportedly be shot in parts of Punjab and Haryana, beginning with Kila Raipur in Ludiana, where the Rural Olympics are held.
'Dangal' also marks the debut of newcomers Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Sanya Malhotra, who will be essaying the roles of Geeta and Babita Phogat (Aamir's daughters). Sakshi Tanwar has also been signed to play Aamir's wife in the film.
