Aadesh Shrivastava battles for life as his cancer relapses

Mumbai: For the past 42 days, Aadesh Shrivastava has been admitted in a city hospital and is in a very critical condition. The music composer has got relapse of multiple myeloma, where the collections of abnormal cells accumulate in the bone marrow where they stop the production of normal blood cells.

He was admitted for cancer for the first time in 2010 and was given all the possible treatment and he was also cured of it. But this time, tragedy has struck him again. His wife Vijeta Singh is by his side and is constantly monitoring all the necessary treatment.

We got in touch with Lalit ( Jatin-Lalit fame), Aadesh’s brother-in-law. He said, “ Yes, Aadesh is critical right now. We need your prayers. Normally, in the case of cancer, 90 percent of the time it relapses.”

How is Aadesh’s current condition? He said, “He is in semi-conscious state, his brain is functioning and he can recognize you. But because it has spread all over his body, he is in a lot of pain and is unable to walk.”

Lalit says that Aadesh is a fighter. He says, “He is a fighter and he has suffered a lot. Just pray that he doesn’t suffer more. I have never seen anybody so strong and he has a fighter attitude.”

Having such a huge body of work, lot of friends from the music fraternity have met Aadesh in the hospital. Says Lalit, “Everybody has come to meet him and prayed for his recovery. All those who have worked with him in the past like Shaan, Alka Yagnik, Sonu and many mothers have made a visit. We are constantly by his side.”
