As titles go this is sure to catch the attention of cine goers. James and Alice will be the debut directorial venture of well known award winning cinematographer Sujith Vaassudev and playing the title roles of James and Alice is Prithviraj and Vedhika; incidentally they had been paired earlier in the Tamil period film Kaaviyathalaivan. Coming back to James and Alice, Sujith speaks about the storyline, “This is a story about the misunderstandings between a couple due to their busy, hectic life style which we can see having a resonance in our own lives.
James is a workaholic who is an ad film maker and Alice works in the bank sector. The couple take a decision to get married going against the wishes of their parents.” Explaining more about the decision to cast Vedhika, Sujith says, “Alice has a meaty role in the film and no, there are no dance sequences! Vedhika will get to express and perform a lot more than other normal Mollywood heroines would do. Alice needed a very beautiful and expressive face and Vedhika is a talented actress too.” The film would kick start in October and will be a romantic, family, and fantasy genre one. The others in the cast include Sai Kumar, Manju Pillai, Nedumudi Venu and Sijoy Varghese who will be playing key roles. The story is penned by Sujith himself and the script is by Dr S. Janardanan. Produced by Dharmik films, the music will be composed by Anil Johnson.
