Chennai: DMK president M. Karunanidhi on Thursday said the ruling AIADMK has no option but to announce enforcement of prohibition on August 15. Writing for party organ Murasoli, Karunanidhi said, “The ruling AIADMK no other option. The pressure on the government is increasing daily due to the tireless campaign of the DMK and others. I believe the AIADMK regime cannot escape from announcing it (prohibition).”
The DMK president questioned the haste shown by the CBI in the Maran-exchange case and called it an act of political vendetta. He also lauded Sundar Pichai’s rise to the office of CEO of Google.
