Hyderabad: A Class X girl student died at a hostel run by the Vikarabad government residential school under suspicious conditions on Sunday. K. Anusha, 15, was sleeping on the floor of the Sangam Lakshmibai Gurukulam.
Police said the victim hails from Ramgurunathpalli in Mominpet mandal, where her father K. Agamaiah is a farmer. “When the warden tried to wake Anusha in the morning, she did not move. The warden informed the principal who called the the police,” said Vikarabad inspector G. Ravi.
“She was healthy till Saturday night. We are shocked,” said principal Srinivas Reddy. The two-acre campus is filled with bushes and is infested with snakes, police said.
